It's a green wave of people out there today so I thought I'd post something with some Irish significance.
I'm sure most of you out there have either seen the movie "Once" or at least heard of it. The movie features two artists,Glen Hansard (of the popular Irish band "The Frames") and Marketa Irglova, that come together to record an independent EP and in the process form an intense emotional and artistic bond with each-other.
Because of the immense success of the movie and its songs, the two form an actual band called "The Swell Season" and release an album and go on tour. One of the stops on tour was the Amoeba Records on Haight street back home in SF, which many of my friends were fortunate enough to go to. After enough digging, I found a video from that concert. Their voices sound even better than they do on the actual album recording and their faces show how much emotion they put into their performances. Listen past the 2 min mark to get tingles and enjoy.
